So here goes our first deployment. Zach is on his way to Ireland for a layover and will be in Kuwait for about 2 weeks. We got really lucky because on Wednesday we found out Zach could come home for Thanksgiving. But as always I had to work. We also found out he had to be back at Ft. Stewart on Saturday morning for a bag check. Luckily I was able to find some amazing people at work to help me out and cover my shifts for Saturday and Sunday and was able to go with him. We were so lucky to spend the weekend together before he left. I am so thankful for every moment we got to have together. God was so good to us this weekend!
Everyone please keep him in your prayers. This has been so hard on him. Neither of us know how to deal with the emotions that seem to spring up at the most unexpected moments. I can't wait until this first deployment is over!!
