Days 12, 13, and 14

Day 12-Have a positive outlook
This was very tough for me on Sunday. It seemed like everything at work went wrong. Everything was a mess, but after talking with Shae I realized it's all going to be ok. We're going to look at this as a learning opportunity.

Day 13-Pick three friends or family members you see regularly. View their actions and gestures through a positive lens, assuming their goodness and witnessing their best intentions.

Kathryn- She's always there for me, always says the right things and really has my back. We had a wonderful time Monday night and she's my bestie!

Dad-He's overbearing and a little crazy sometimes. He always wants the best for me though. He's provided me with a wonderful life.

Mom-She's been very grumpy lately. She does take care of my dad though, and takes care of me a lot. I love her.

Day 14-Reflect on the challenge.
I've noticed myself being slightly more positive. I love the fact that when I look around on a rainy day I see an opportunity, not a yucky day! I love it!

Day 8-Write 5 thank you notes. I just wrote them and can't wait to mail them

1. Zachary
2. Mom
3. Dad
4. Kathryn
5. Kelsey

Day 9- Enjoy the people around you.

I spent Wednesday night with Kathryn and Chris at Starbucks. I love them. I love Nicole and Sam at Starbucks. They always brighten my day with beautiful words, a cup of coffee, and cigarettes. Best nights ever.

Day 10-Pick a sense

I chose my sight. Without it I would never get to see books! My favorite things in the world. Or would I ever get to see Zachary's beautiful blue eyes :) I'm so thankful for them!

Day11-Eyes of a child

Today at work I watched a little girl of about 5 playing with a hula hoop. She was so joyful! Later in the day when everyone left, me and the girls picked up hula hoops and ran around the store. Highlight of my day :)

I'm really missing Zachary today. For day 7 of the challenge, I was supposed to take a picture of something I'm thankful for, but since I can't, I'm posting one. There he is to the right. I'm so thankful for him. I miss him so much!

It seems the closer I get to seeing Zachary again, the more I miss him. 16 days away and it's getting unbearable. Maybe it's because I'm stuck at home writing a paper tonight. I dunno...

Days 4 and 5...and 6...

Day 4

I forgot yesterday! Today I'm supposed to write about the negatives in my life I'm grateful for.

The Army-They take my soldier away. But without them, Zach and I would have a much tougher time doing the things we want. This way, he has a full time job, gets money for school, and gets to see the world! I'm so proud of him!

Day 5

I'm so thankful for so much in my life

-Zach
-School
-having a job
-my parents and family
-my savings account
-the cute clothes i have
-my homies

Day 6!

Today I need to call someone I'm grateful for and haven't talked to in a while. I'm calling my grandmother. Update on that after I talk to her!

Day Three

I'm supposed to write about what I'm grateful for.

Mostly I'm grateful for Zachary. He saved my soul. I never thought after everything I went through that I could love again. He showed me that not only could I love again, but I could love bigger and better. I thought I was completely broken, he showed me I just needed a little mending.

I'm grateful for friends. My friends picked my ass up when I was down. They didn't always do it kindly and I'm grateful. They whooped my ass back into my old fun self and made me appreciate life again.

My family. God knows I don't always treat them right, but they're always there. Love them!

ABCs

A- America. I'm thankful for the country I live in. The freedoms we have. No it's not a perfect place, but I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else

B-Besties. I have the most amazing crew of friends. I love them all so much. They're my support, who I turn to when times are hard, and most importantly the people I love going out with.

C-College. I'm thankful for the education I'm getting and that I'll be debt free when I get out of school.

D-My dad. I'm so much like him that we drive each other crazy sometimes, but he's an amazing man.

E-Evenings at home. I love staying in and relaxing every once in a blue moon. I'm much more of an active person, but when I do take the time to stay home, I love it!

F-Family. I have the most amazing extended family ever. I love them all deeply. We're a mess, but we're fun. I'm blessed to be apart of it.

G-God. My relationship with God has been a rollercoaster of the years. He always takes me back and I've never felt more stable in my relationship with Him. I;m also really excited for Zach and I to start our spiritual relationship together, even if he is Catholic ;)

H-My sister Hayley. We fight, a lot. But I love her. She was there for me through a really hard time when I treated her like crap before that. She didn't have to be there and she was. I love her.

I-Infantry. I'm thankful that my boyfriend is in the Infantry. It makes my life a little harder, but seeing his face light up when talking about raids, FTX, and all the things he's doing brings me joy. I'm thankful that I decided to stick this out with him. I'll support him through all of this.

J-Jesus. He died on the cross for me. I think that pretty much explains it.

K-Kids. I want them, bad. I love the way a child can just brighten your day. I'm always grateful for the time I get to spend with little ones.

L-Little Hoody. Even though it's sketch and all, I am grateful for the time spent there. Jerae and Daniel are like our parents. I love their baby girl to. I've spent many eventful nights there, with more to come.

M-My mother. I love her. I can talk to her about anything. She's a wonderful wife and mother and I can't wait to be just like her, in most ways.

N-Never ending love stories. I'm grateful for the love my grandparents had for each other. It's taught me that there is the pure love out there, that no one seems to believe in these days.

O-October. It's my favorite month. Halloween, the weather, the treats! I love it!

P-My Papa. He was the most amazing man. He was full of integrity, love, and just an all around good man. He was a person that pulled you in. He loved his family like nothing I've ever seen. I'm really excited about introducing Zach to him through me. My memories of him with show Zach what an incredible man he was.

W-Work. I'm thankful to have a job and in the industry I love.

X-Xylophone. I played percussion in high school with the band and I'm grateful for it. I didn't always have a good time, but it taught me great leadership skills that I've carried over into all parts of my life.

Y-Yesterday. My yesterday's brought me to today. They weren't always easy, and sometimes really dark and scary, but they brought me into the sunshine again!

Z- Zachary. He's my hero, one of my best friends, the love of my life. I don't know where I'd be without him. He showed me so much about myself and that you do have more than one soulmate in your lifetime. He's my rock. I can talk to him about everything, we fight, we love. I know his love for me is unconditional.
